What our tool checks

🟢

Proxy Status

Instantly verify if your proxy is online and responding. See clear OK/Failed indicators with HTTP status codes (200, 403, 407, 502, etc.).

Response Speed

Measure the exact response time of each proxy in milliseconds. Identify slow proxies that could bottleneck your operations.

🌍

Geolocation

Detect the geographic location of each proxy including country, city, and ISP. Essential for geo-targeted operations.

🔒

Protocol Detection

Automatically identify proxy protocol — HTTP, HTTPS, or SOCKS5. Ensure compatibility with your application requirements.

🕵️

Anonymity Level

Check proxy anonymity: transparent, anonymous, or elite. Know how much of your real identity is exposed through the proxy.

📋

Bulk Testing

Test entire proxy lists at once. Paste up to 100 proxies and check them all simultaneously — no registration required.

How to use

Proxy checking in 3 steps

1

Paste your proxies

Enter one or more proxies in the text area. Supported formats: ip:port, ip:port:user:pass, or user:pass@ip:port. One proxy per line.

2

Click Check

Hit the "Check Proxies" button. Our servers will test each proxy concurrently, measuring response time, detecting location, and verifying anonymity.

3

Review results

See instant results for each proxy: status (working/failed), response speed in ms, country and city, protocol type, and anonymity level.

Why you need a proxy checker

Whether you're running web scrapers, managing ad verification campaigns, or conducting market research, proxy reliability is critical. A single dead proxy can halt your data collection pipeline, waste computing resources, and cost you valuable time.

Our free online proxy checker helps you validate proxies before deploying them in production. Test response times to ensure your proxies meet latency requirements, verify geographic locations for geo-targeted operations, and confirm anonymity levels to protect your identity.

For teams using free proxy lists, regular testing is essential — free proxies have notoriously high failure rates, often exceeding 70%. Even premium proxy services benefit from periodic validation to identify temporary outages or performance degradation.

SpyderProxy's proxy checker uses the same infrastructure that powers our premium proxy network. Every test runs through our global server network, providing accurate results regardless of your own location.

Proxy Checker FAQ

How does the proxy checker work?

Our proxy checker connects to each proxy you provide and sends a test request through it. We measure the response time, detect the proxy type and anonymity level, and check the geographic location of the exit IP. The entire process takes just a few seconds per proxy.

open

What proxy formats are supported?

We support the standard proxy formats: ip:port, ip:port:username:password, and username:password@ip:port. Both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are supported, as well as hostname-based proxies.

open

How many proxies can I test at once?

You can test up to 100 proxies in a single batch. Each proxy is tested concurrently for maximum speed. For larger lists, simply run multiple batches.

open

What’s the difference between proxy anonymity levels?

Transparent proxies reveal your real IP address. Anonymous proxies hide your IP but reveal that you’re using a proxy. Elite (high-anonymity) proxies hide both your IP and the fact that you’re using a proxy, making them ideal for sensitive operations.

open

Why is my proxy showing as failed?

A proxy can fail for several reasons: the proxy server is down, incorrect credentials, the proxy has expired, firewall blocking, or the proxy doesn’t support the protocol being tested. Try checking the proxy format and credentials.

open

How often should I test my proxies?

For production use, we recommend testing proxies at least once daily. Free proxy lists should be tested before every use as they have high failure rates. Premium proxies from providers like SpyderProxy typically maintain 99%+ uptime.

open

Can I test SOCKS5 proxies with this tool?

Yes, our proxy checker supports HTTP, HTTPS, and SOCKS5 protocols. The tool automatically detects the proxy type, but you can also specify the protocol in the format socks5://ip:port for explicit testing.
